Robert, what thoughts went through
your mind on the eve of your debut book release, Words of
Inspiration? “I was
thinking, “Oh my God, I wrote my first poem when I was 11 years
old and now my first book is finally coming out.” I was so
excited because it took almost 2 years from the time I started
writing the poems for this book before the book was released.”
Tell us about your publishing journey. Did you initially intend
to self-publish, or was your manuscript submitted to several
publishers?
"Initially, I had no idea I would self-publish. After I
finished the manuscript, I was praying for God to show me how to
get the book into print...."

What was
your primary reason for writing your
novel, “Pretty Much Dead”?
“There were two primary reasons I began writing “Pretty Much
Dead” The first was a result of an inherent part of my
personality that causes me to try and make logical sense of the
things around me.”
How did you
choose your book’s title?
“The book title “Pretty Much Dead” was easy, it has numerous
meanings in the story. There are the many near attempts to
commit patricide, the times my mother (whom is very pretty)
found herself near death at the hands of my father. There are
